Announcements
Those interested in exploring New Orleans, whether you are flying into New Orleans or Baton Rouge plan to meet at Pat O'Brien's at 1:00 pm- 2:00 pm in the French quarter to have drinks and walk the famous Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Those that are interested can grab a bite to eat or do some shopping or walk around and take in what New Orleans has to offer. We will plan to finish our evening aboard the steam boat Natchez for some jazz music and dinner. I encourage everyone that would like the entire New Orleans experience to stay in the French Quarter over night. Many of us do plan on driving back to Baton Rouge to stay the night Thursday evening, it is about 1.20 minute drive back to Baton Rouge. Please email Sara to let us know if you will be joining us so we can make proper reservations.

I moved to MN from Louisiana in June 2012 to start my residency at the Mayo clinic. In February of my 1st year in residency I bumped into Sara two nights in a row at Social Ice, the largest ice bar in the upper Midwest. The second night of running into her I knew it was fate and had to ask her out. From there the rest is history.---Jim

Our first date was one of the most romantic days of my life. We went to the Redwood Room with live acoustic music. A sweet southern gentleman managed to take me out on one of the coldest MN winters nights in history. We sat, talk and listen to live music. We laughed the evening away.

The first time I met Jim he had me instantly won over with his sweet southern accent. The moment he started talking it felt like we were the only ones in the room. His southern charm had my heart immediately.

Jim and I flew down to Louisiana the next day after having Christmas with my family. Sometime during the time spent with my family Jim asked my father and brothers for their blessings. He told them it would be a couple months as he had no plans yet on when or where to propose.
After speaking with my grandmother and Father and showing them the ring they both asked
"What I was waiting for to propose". It was a gorgeous December evening/day in Louisiana and I asked Sara if she wanted to go out in the boat and go fishing. At that time I had no intention on proposing, we headed out and that's when it hit me it was the perfect day and time. I asked Sara if she wanted some wine. She agreed, I turned the boat around and went inside and grabbed the ring and a bottle of wine. As the sun was setting I drove the boat to the middle of the lake and got down on one knee and asked the love of my life to marry me. In SHOCK she said yes.
The Proposal

Louisiana it is
Jim is beginning his one year sports fellowship starting July 1 of this year at Mayo Clinic. This is a very exciting year for us as Jim will be on the hunt for a job somewhere in the states and we also will be getting married down in Louisiana. We are excited to start several new journeys and look forward to making new memories together.

A: No, absolutely not! Our style is genuine, and that is what makes us different. Though formals are nice, it is the shots with raw emotion, the ones we get when our couples don't know we are photographing them, that people fall in love with.
Q: Do I really have to wait 4 weeks to get my images after my wedding day? 1 month seems a bit long….
A: We say that to allow cushion just in case of emergencies. In most cases, you will receive your images in less than 4 weeks.
